Waukesha Physical Therapy Clinics (WPTC) has been providing independent rehabilitation services in Waukesha County since 1979. Founded by Ann Schultheis PT, our first clinic opened in the Moreland Medical Center with the goal of providing physical therapy with a more personal one-on-one approach. To better serve our patients, we expanded to two more locations in Waukesha County.

Patients that come to our clinics are mostly by physician and insurance referrals, referrals by friends and community, or are returning patients. Some patients do come to us without a referral. Patients are scheduled and treated on an individual basis, never in groups.

Our clinics are staffed by a professional team that includes experienced licensed physical therapists, licensed physical therapists assistants and certified massage therapists. Therapists only provide patient services and listen to patient concerns. WPTC will provide your treatment in a timely manner to achieve treatment goals. Our clinics are open five days a week with varied hours for patient convenience.

Patients note that our clinic staff is helpful and the atmosphere friendly. Independent surveys conducted by Midwest Rehabilitation Network Inc. (MRNI) have given our clinics a 99.4% rating over the past several years.

Physical Therapy Services

We provide a wide variety of physical therapeutic services and hands-on approach to meet patient rehabilitation goals. We offer traditional treatment modalities such as ultrasound, muscle stimulation, mechanical traction, iontophoresis and others enhanced by our hands-on therapy techniques. Hands-on techniques include:

    • Muscle Energy
    • Soft Tissue Massage
    • Myofascial Release
    • Joint Mobilization

Staff Continuing Education and Certifications

Our therapy staff attends continuing education courses yearly allowing us to incorporate various unique treatment procedures to return our patients to full functional status for work, play, sports or home.

Some of our therapists also hold specialty training certificates such as strength training and conditioning and Pilates.

Patients are provided with individualized home exercise and preventive care programs designed to minimize or eliminate pain and discomfort and enhance the healing process. Patient education is provided throughout the treatment process. After a detailed evaluation, exercise protocols are used to increase range of motion, strength and endurance. Home exercise programs are designed for the patient in order to ensure that results are maintained or further progress is achieved. We also provide programs that allow our patients to continue with their rehabilitation process including After Care and Pilates Classes.

Another specialty service available through our Waukesha Physical Therapy Clinic includes Crossbow Evaluations.

We are very proud of our reputation in the Waukesha medical community. You, as a patient have the right to choose the outpatient physical therapy clinic you would like to use. We would appreciate your selection of Waukesha Physical Therapy Clinics.
